Façade Inspection Projects in Singapore
Bizlify specialises in façade inspection and has completed hundreds of inspections across Singapore, ranging from small shophouses to some of the city's tallest buildings. Our inspectors understand that reliable findings begin with careful preparation, systematic coverage and inspection methods suited to the building's façade systems, height, access constraints and surrounding environment.
Visual inspection is primarily carried out using drones and may be supplemented with digital cameras or 360-degree cameras. Alternative equipment is useful where adjoining buildings, vegetation or other obstructions restrict drone access to parts of a façade elevation. Combining appropriate capture methods helps the inspection team maintain systematic visual coverage despite site-specific constraints.
Close-range inspection allows the façade inspector to physically examine selected areas and verify conditions that cannot be confirmed through imagery alone. Typical techniques include checking whether extensions or panels are secure, tapping rendered or plastered surfaces to identify possible hollowness, and using a borescope to inspect concealed areas behind panels or curtain walls. The inspector requires safe physical access to the relevant façade areas, which may be provided through rope access, mobile elevating work platforms, cranes, scaffolding, building maintenance units or gondolas. The most appropriate access method depends on the building type and height, façade configuration, inspection locations and site constraints.
Shophouse Façade Inspections
Bizlify has completed more than 30 shophouse inspections during the past two years, giving the team practical experience with the access constraints commonly found on these properties. Closely adjoining buildings, narrow streets, architectural features and limited roof or rear access can make close-range inspection particularly challenging. Depending on the property, the inspection may combine lorry cranes or boom lifts, internal access through windows and stairways, ladders, mobile scaffolds and rope access to achieve suitable coverage.

Residential projects range from low-rise single buildings to large, multi-block high-rise developments. Common façade systems include rendered or plastered walls, window walls and curtain walls, and the appropriate inspection approach varies with building height, roof form, elevation access and surrounding constraints. Rope access is frequently used for high-rise areas, while low-rise developments with vaulted or complex roofs may require a combination of internal inspection, access from windows, balconies or terraces, and targeted rope access.

Commercial office towers commonly combine several façade systems, including curtain walls, cladding and rendered or plastered surfaces. Drone inspection provides a safe and efficient method for achieving systematic visual coverage at height while limiting the need for initial work at height. Close-range access is commonly provided through rope access or an operational building maintenance unit, depending on the façade configuration, inspection locations and available building systems.

Bizlify has inspected factories and industrial properties ranging from individual facilities to large, multi-block complexes. These sites may include extensive elevations, operational areas, restricted zones and varying façade systems, requiring careful coordination with site personnel. Boom lifts and rope access are common close-range access methods, selected according to building height, inspection locations, ground conditions and operational constraints.
